TankWatch


We are very excited to announce TankWatch to our customers. Here is some of the basic information on the program as well as a few frequently asked questions on the program. We would be happy to speak with you on this product anytime, just give us a call.

TankWatch is a monitoring system that monitors and reports how much oil is in your tank. A sensor is placed on your tank (or tanks for those accounts with more than one). During the day this sensor reports back to a modem located in your home. Each night this modem reports back to our office and lets us know the fuel level. We are also updated when your tank is in danger of running out or when a delivery is made into the tank.

We monitor each TankWatch account and receive alerts for many conditions which allows us to guarantee that your tank will never run out of oil. If you are an automatic customer, we feel so strongly you will never run out that we will fill your tank should that ever happen.

HomeGuard is the next level of TankWatch. Adding HomeGuard will allow us to monitor your home's temperature and burner lock out. What is burner lock out? Simply put, burner lock out is when your burner tires to fire and cannot.

TankWatch and HomeGuard are great for seasonal properties, second homes, rental properties, and apartment buildings. A phone line is required as it is needed by the modem to make the daily upload phone call to our office.

As a customer, are we notified when our tank or temperature is low or when the burner lock out happened?
Yes, you may assign up to two contacts for each account that would be notified for any alarm condition.

Is there a signup fee for TankWatch or HomeGuard?
No, there is no signup fee for the program.

What is the cost for the program?
TankWatch and HomeGuard are billed monthly. You may cancel the program at anytime (cancellation request must be provided in writing) without penalty. For current Mount Blue Oil customers the cost for TankWatch is $15 per month and HomeGuard is $25 per month.

Do I need to be a Mount Blue Oil customer for this program?
No, we can work with you even if you are not our customer. The pricing for non-customers is at a different rate then for our current customers and there would be an installation fee.

I have propane tanks, can you monitor those tanks as well?
Yes, we can monitor propane tanks that are equipped with the correct valve. If this program interests you, we can inspect your tank and discuss your options.

This sounds great. How do I sign up?
Please call our Customer Service Department (click here for contact information). They can answer any additional questions you have and get the necessary paperwork to you. Once we receive the signed TankWatch agreement, we can setup a date to install the system. We usually can have the sensors installed within a week of the signup date.
