With our automatic delivery program you never need to worry about your oil tank again. We will fill your tank and keep it filled based on a system called Degree Days. By using this Degree Day system we can estimate the usage of your location and deliver fuel to you when you need it.
A "Degree Day" is any day during which the average temperature falls below 65 degrees. The difference between 65 degrees and the average temperature (for example: 30 degrees) are called Degree Days. Simply subtract the average temperature of 30 degrees from 65 degrees and you arrive at 35 degree day units. Each day, the high and low temperatures are added together then divided by two - this will give you the MEAN temperature. The mean temperature is subtracted from the base figure of 65 to arrive at the Daily Degree Days. These degree days reflect potential fuel consumption and can be used to calculate a delivery schedule.
Combining the degree day information together with the consumption pattern for your home or business (K-Factor) enables our computer to tell us when you need a delivery. Why do we do this? Simple. We want to make the most efficient delivery of fuel at your location making sure that you will not run out of oil.
Signing up for automatic delivery works well for both of us. We get efficiency that we cant get with will-call deliveries and you get the piece of mind in that you do not have to ever check your fuel tank again. The is also another small reward to being an automatic customer. Mount Blue Oil offers a 2 cent discount off cash price to our automatic customers. With the price of oil today, those discounts add up and help offset your overall heating costs. Payment at the discounted cash price is due within 10 days of delivery.

Total control over you account. If you want to tell us when and how much to deliver this is the plan for you. Simply put you call us for a delivery. We require a 48 hour notice for will call deliveries. Does that mean that it will take 2 days to get your oil? No. Usually we deliver same day, sometime within a few hours of the call, but we may take as long as 48 hours from the time you call in, so plan accordingly.
We would recommend never letting your tank drop below 1/4 of a tank. The minimum delivery for a will-call customer is 100 gallons. Payment at cash price is due within 5 days of delivery.

Budget payments will be set up based on a year of deliveries and 11 monthly payments. The 12th month will be your catch up month. During the last month of the heating season you will make a final payment to clean up the balance on your account. Budgets must be setup in the beginning or prior to the current heating season.

By setting up a prebuy on your account you lock yourself into a price for the duration of the program. Our prebuy programs are fixed pricing plans, the price does not go up and it does not go down for the entire length of the program. A contract is required for this plan. Pricing is dependent on the prebuy plan currently available to you.
